Palm Sunday: Trusting the King’s Plan
On Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey while the crowds cheered, laid down palm branches, and praised Him as their King. They believed He had come to rescue them from Roman rule and restore Israel’s power. But Jesus had a greater plan—one that went beyond political freedom. He came to bring peace, salvation, and eternal life.
At that moment, the people rejoiced, but within days, many of them turned against Him, shouting, “Crucify Him!” (Matthew 27:22). Their praise was based on their expectations, not on who Jesus truly was. When He didn’t meet their desires, they rejected Him.
Palm Sunday is a reminder to trust in Jesus, not just when things go our way, but always. He is the King who sees the bigger picture, and His plans are always for our good. May we follow Him with hearts full of faith, knowing that no matter what, He is with us, guiding, providing, and reigning forever. How can you trust Jesus as your King, even when His plans don’t look the way you expected? Palm Sunday is a reminder to trust in Jesus, not just when things go our way, but always.
